I was born in Mumbai, India, raised Parsi-Zoroastrian, and educated by Irish nuns and Jesuit priests. New York City has been my home for the past 40 years, but I have lived and worked in Trinidad, London and Nigeria. My cross-cultural upbringing led me to study anthropology, and teach at Empire State College, College of Staten Island, and a few other places. I found that my experience of studying and teaching cultural anthropology was great preparation for working in the rapidly changing world of healthcare and medical practice. I have worked at Yaffe Ruden & Associates for 27 years. I love travel, studying Spanish and Latin American language and culture and spending time with my family and my Lhasa Apso, Tenzing, who was a gift from my YRA family.
